The practitioners who work in these settings have extensive training in emergency medicine, and specialists are on call for advanced care needs.  If any of the following apply, call for emergency medical treatment right away:

• Shortness of breath
• Loss of consciousness
• Visibly broken bones
• Asthma attack
• Uncontrolled bleeding
• Thoughts of self-harm or suicide
